Why I Built Multiple Businesses Around One Simple Goal
Most people know me from one thing.
Some know me as a wedding officiant. Others know me from travel planning, mobile notary work, ham radio, or various online projects. Depending on where we met, you may know me from an entirely different corner of the internet.
At first glance, it probably looks like I do too many unrelated things.
But to me, they’ve always connected through one simple idea:
Helping people navigate important moments a little easier.
That’s really the common thread behind everything I build.
It Started With Weddings
Long before I started building online resources and travel brands, I began officiating weddings in West Virginia in 2011.
Over the years, I’ve met couples from all walks of life:
- nervous couples planning tiny backyard ceremonies
- adventurous couples eloping in the mountains
- families blending traditions
- people overwhelmed by planning stress
What I realized pretty quickly was that people weren’t just looking for a service. They wanted someone calm, approachable, and helpful during an important life moment.
That mindset shaped everything that came after.
Travel Became the Next Natural Step
Travel planning turned out to be surprisingly similar to weddings.
People are excited — but also overwhelmed.
There are a thousand choices, endless information online, and a lot of pressure to “get it right.” Whether someone is booking their first cruise or planning a honeymoon, they usually just want someone trustworthy to help guide them through the process.
That’s part of why I launched Millennial Travel.
I wanted travel planning to feel less intimidating and more personal, especially for younger travelers who often feel ignored by traditional agencies.
Why I Share Resources Online
One thing I genuinely enjoy is simplifying information.
Whether it’s:
- a wedding planning checklist
- a cruise guide
- a mobile notary FAQ
- tech recommendations
- or helpful local resources
I like creating content that helps people find answers without feeling overwhelmed.
The internet is full of confusing, outdated, and overly complicated information. I’d rather build resources that feel clear, practical, and human.
